Denzel Mitchell
Intern Emeritus, Democracy in Danger
Denzel Mitchell is a third-year Echols Scholar at the University of Virginia studying Political and Social Thought and Economics. He is from Northumberland County, Virginia which sits on Virginia’s Northern Neck -- the region where founding fathers such as George Washington and James Monroe were born. In addition to keeping up with his studies, Mitchell is a production intern for UVA’s Democracy In Danger podcast, a member of the UVA Democracy Initiative’s Student Advisory Council, and the co-founder and co-hosts the Main Street Speaks podcast which covers news, politics, and history of the Northern Neck of Virginia.
